Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainable leading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people. Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewable plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.

Complementing our already diverse range of products, we will be manufacturing new timber products including cross laminated & glue laminated timber (NeXTimber) and wood-plastic composite decking & screening, expanding our business into new markets in 2023. These products will take Timberlink from being primarily a structural timber manufacturer to a structural engineered timber products and solutions business.

About the role:

It is with great excitement that we commence recruitment for our new Finger Joint Line, with production to begin in mid 2023. In line with this commencement, we are now looking for Production Operators to join our business.

Working Monday to Thursday, rotating day and afternoon shift.

Hours for Day shift - 6am - 3.50pm

Hours for Afternoon shift - 4.20pm - 2.10am

These permanent, full time positions report directly to the Dry Mill Manager and will be based at our Bell Bay manufacturing site in Tasmania (approx. 40 minutes from Launceston). With our business continually investing and growing, this is a perfect opportunity to combine your strong production skills in the timber manufacturing industry.

What we require you to have:

• A strong commitment to a safe working environment and safe working practices
• An eye for detail and accuracy
• Meeting production targets according to the production plan
• Reporting safety incidents, near misses
• An outstand work ethic and ability to learn
• Manufacturing background
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Ability to complete full medical including D&A screening
